Evaluation
A. In each academic year AVK will hold the following assessment. 1. Formative Assessment-1, 2, 3, & 4 2. Summative Assessment-1 (September) 3. Summative Assessment-2 (March)
B. Assessment is an evaluation tool to record the progress of a student. It is compulsory for students of classes III to X to appear in the Formative and Summative Assessments for promotion to next higher class whereas for students of classes I and II the exemption may be given (for illness) if his/her performance (both diagnostic & evaluative) throughout the year has been recorded satisfactory.
C. The dates of Formative and Summative Assessment are almost final and every student is supposed to appear in them.
D. A student not appearing in the tests will be marked absent and would be discredited for the same.
E. If on medical grounds, students are not able to appear in Formative and Summative Assessment, the application for the same may be submitted with a Medical Certificate issued by a doctor or Government/Municipal Cantonment Hospital and countersigned by the parents. Such certificate and application must be submitted within a week of the Formative and Summative Assessment at the latest.
A. Class work and Home work, which have due weightage in Annual Promotions need to be regularly watched and taken care by the parents.
